Terms of Service
These terms apply to your use of VisualEdit, the Chrome extension, its helper program and the AI service behind it. By using VisualEdit you agree to them.
What VisualEdit is
VisualEdit lets you change elements of your own local website visually or with AI commands, and writes the changes into your project files. Visual editing is free and unlimited. AI commands are limited by your plan.
Your files and your responsibility
- VisualEdit changes real files in your project. Keep a backup or use version control such as git.
- AI answers can be wrong or unexpected. Review changes before you rely on them. Undo and revert features are provided but cannot be guaranteed in every situation.
- You are responsible for the projects you edit and for having the right to edit them.
Plans
- Free: a fixed number of AI requests in total, as shown in the extension.
- Pro: a monthly subscription with a monthly number of AI requests, as shown in the extension. A Pro license key can be active on a limited number of computers. You can free a place by choosing Deactivate in the extension.
- Plan limits and features can change. If a limit changes for a plan you already pay for, the change will not reduce what you have already paid for during the current period.
Fair use
Do not abuse the service: no automated or bulk requests, no sharing a license key beyond the allowed computers, no attempts to bypass limits, and no use of the AI to produce harmful or unlawful content. We may limit or block use that does this, and we may pause the free AI when capacity is reached.
Payment, renewal and cancellation
Pro is sold and billed by Polar, which acts as the seller of record. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the link in your receipt or through the Manage subscription link in the extension. After cancelling you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Each month starts on the day of payment, not the day you enter your license key, so entering the key later does not extend it.
Your content
Your projects and the results you create stay yours. You give us permission only to process the content you send to the AI so that we can return an answer, as described in the Privacy Policy.
No warranty
VisualEdit is provided “as is”, without promises that it will be error-free, always available, or suitable for a particular purpose. The AI service may be unavailable or change at times.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost files, lost profits or indirect damages arising from the use of VisualEdit. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending use
You can stop using VisualEdit at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend access that breaks these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use VisualEdit after a change means you accept it.
